The Indonesian island and province of Bali is just west of the island of Lombok and east of the island of Java. Just a short flight or cruise across the Indian Ocean from the northwest tip of Western Australia in the Southern hemisphere, most of the cultural and tourist areas are concentrated around Bali’s capital city of Denpesar along the central south coast. Just north of Denpesar, the city of Ubud with its museums, galleries and Hindu legacy reflected in its native crafts markets and theatres of fine art and dance, define Bali’s cultural center.
The white, sandy beaches of the south coast reflect the island’s surrounding coral reefs, in contrast to the more volcanic, black sand beaches along Bali’s northern coast. Whether your plans call for state of the art contemporary hotels in the more urban areas, or one of the many smaller resorts or family-run inns found throughout the island, Bali offers a wealth of hotel options to suit any itinerary.

·Ubud Hotels located north of Denpasar in Ubud. Ubud is famous amidst visitors from various countries for The Museum Lukisan Ratna Warta, usually called the "Puri Lukisan" (the palace of paintings), and is close to many of central Bali's major sights. |
